JONJO O’NEIL RACING BRINGS “TARTAN” COLOUR TO NYE

Normally on Thursday, we would be opening the gates of the racecourse for our largest crowd of the year…..It’s New Year’s Eve.

It’s hugely disappointing to us all, that we won’t be able to provide the usual pre-Hogmanay celebrations for thousands of people!

HOWEVER…..the races will still take place behind closed doors and we are delighted to welcome the Jonjo O’Neill Racing Club as the sponsor of four races on the programme.

The Club was launched earlier this month and gives members a range of tremendous benefits including complimentary badges when one of the two Club horses run, visits to the iconic Jackdaws Castle to watch the horses work on the gallops and a share of prize money won during the year.

All of this for an annual membership fee of £99.

Full details can be viewed at www.jonjooneillracingclub.co.uk .

The colours carried by the club horses will be familiar to racing fans; red sleeves and hat with McIntye tartan body………… Yes, the incredible Sea Pigeon – winner of two Champion Hurdles, two Scottish Champion Hurdles, a Welsh Champion Hurdle, two Chester Cups and the Tote Ebor…….

Let’s hope Jonjo O’Neil, who rode Sea Pigeon, can bring them further success in the future!
